  • Do I need a Passport or Visa to enter Costa Rica?

    As a vacationing American, British, Canadian or European citizen, a valid passport (with at least six months remaining before expiry) is required to enter Costa Rica, but a visa is not necessary. For all other nationalities visit the Costa Rican official website or your local consulate.

  • Are any vaccination or immunization required or suggested?

    None are necessary.

  • Where do I fly into Costa Rica?

    Fly to the capital San Jose and then let us pick you up anyway you desire.

  • How long is the drive from San Jose Airport to Jaco?

    Normally about 90 minutes to 2 hours.

  • What currency of money is most commonly used in Costa Rica?

    Because Tourism is so big in Costa Rica dollars are accepted basically everywhere but we recommend getting Colones too.

  • Are ATM's available? Can I use Credit Cards?

    ATM’s are everywhere in Jaco and Credit Cards are lots of places. We recommend getting Colones and then using the local currency.

  • Do I need to speak Spanish to get by in Jaco?

    Don’t worry most people speak decent English because tourism is so big in Jaco so Spanish isn’t necessary but it helps. Almost everyone involved in tourism speaks English

  • Can I use my cell phone while in Costa Rica?

    All carriers are different --AT&T and Verizon have cheap options. Call your carrier to find out.

  • Can I use my laptop in Costa Rica?

    The plugs are the same and the outlets are the same as USA and Canada so adapters are not necessary.

  • Is WIFI available?

    WIFI is everywhere we set you up to sleep and many restaurants in Jaco have it.

  • What is Jaco like at night?

    Jaco is hopping at night and makes Vegas and New York turn its head. Clubs beach bars and Rock Bars are packed every night. It’s awesome all the way down the strip. We will guide you where to stay and give you an information sheet about where to go and where not to.

  • Are there casinos in Jaco?

    Gambling is legal in Costa Rica. Hotel Cocal has great gambling with Texas Hold’em, Slot Machines, and Roulette every night.
